Can't Get It Out of My Head

I enjoy pretty much all genres of music, though some more than others, of course. But that sort of bland, general statement makes me think of this exchange in "Stay Awhile":

Man: "What kind of music do you like?"
Fair: "I like old music but I like new music, too, and all kinds of different music. So, music, overall, pretty much."
Monty, flat-palming his hand aside his mouth: "You'll have to excuse her. She never gets out."

I've listened to a lot of tunes while writing the books, but the Electric Light Orchestra is probably Wilfair's main house band. There are many ELO songs that remind me of characters and scenes now, and the band's rep as being uplifting, fantasy-driven, and highly orchestral suits the mood I'm trying to convey.

Here's a good song for Fair, at least title-wise: "Can't Get It Out of My Head."

I can't even talk about the beautiful 1970s hair or flared-bottom man trousers in this video, because then I will have to take to the couch with a cold compress draped across my forehead.
