I'm fully enraptured with musician Joanna Newsom's work.
It's whimsical and ethereal and very smart, yes, but it also represents the spirit of her hometown of Nevada City, a California city that's truly a bit magical. So magical there's a map of special trees you can pick up while visiting.
Amazing. I love trees and I love any place that loves trees this much.
This is the song I've been listening to a lot lately. I intrigued by the history and lyrical loops and Ms. Newsom's beautiful voice. (The video is not filmed in Nevada City but New York City, of course.)
